Bank Bound — Terms & Conditions
By booking a social or purchasing merchandise through Bank Bound (bankboundsocials.co.uk), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Nothing complicated here — it’s simply to keep things clear, fair, and running smoothly both on the bank and in the store.
Part A: General Terms
1. About Bank Bound
Bank Bound organises exclusive fishery bookings and carp fishing socials, alongside supplying official bankside merchandise and apparel via bankboundsocials.co.uk.
2. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
3. Data Protection & Privacy
Your personal details, booking data, and order history are managed securely in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR guidelines. We will never sell or misuse your data.
Part B: Socials & Event Bookings
4. Bookings & Payments
- All social bookings must be made in advance through bankboundsocials.co.uk or an officially approved booking channel.
- An initial booking deposit is required to reserve your swim on any Bank Bound social.
- The remaining balance must be paid by the deadline specified in your booking confirmation and balance reminder notifications.
- If your balance is not paid by the required date and you haven’t contacted us to arrange an extension, we reserve the right to release your swim to the waiting list and retain your deposit.
- Your booking is only fully confirmed once all required payment instalments have been received.
5. Event Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations for event bookings are governed by our Cancellation Policy, which forms a binding part of these Terms & Conditions. Because venue bookings involve reserving exclusive lake space well in advance, statutory 14-day distance-selling cancellation rights do not apply to date-specific leisure bookings:
- More than 4 weeks’ notice: Refund of balance paid beyond the non-refundable deposit (minus third-party payment processing fees).
- 2–4 weeks’ notice: 50% refund of remaining balance.
- Less than 2 weeks’ notice: No refund, unless your swim is successfully filled by another angler.
6. Swim Transfers & Guest Swaps
If you cannot attend an event, you may transfer your place to another angler with prior approval from us. You must notify us in advance so we have the correct angler names on the fishery gate list for venue security and insurance.
7. Fishing, Venue Rules & Behaviour
Bank Bound is built on respect and community spirit. We require that all attending anglers:
- Comply fully with all specific venue rules, fish care guidelines, and fishery regulations set by the host water.
- Handle all fish safely and responsibly with appropriate unhooking mats, cradles, and fish care kits.
- Show respect to fellow anglers, venue bailiffs, and Bank Bound event team members.
- Keep the social friendly — banter is always welcome, bad attitudes are not.
Anyone exhibiting abusive, aggressive, or unsafe behaviour that spoils the experience or compromises fish welfare may be removed from the event immediately without a refund.
8. Alcohol & Substances
- Alcohol is permitted only where allowed by host venue rules, and must be consumed responsibly at all times.
- Illegal substances are strictly prohibited across all Bank Bound events.
- If an angler’s behaviour becomes disruptive or unsafe due to alcohol or substance use, they will be asked to pack down and leave the venue.
9. Health, Safety & Personal Property
Carp fishing is an outdoor activity near water, and bankside conditions can vary. By attending a Bank Bound Social, you accept full responsibility for:
- The safety, maintenance, and operation of your own tackle, bivvies, and personal belongings.
- Conducting yourself safely around the water and venue grounds.
Bank Bound accepts no liability for personal accidents, injuries, or loss/damage to personal tackle or vehicles unless caused directly by our proven negligence.
10. Weather Conditions & Event Changes
Socials will go ahead in standard UK weather conditions (rain, cold, or wind). Events will only ever be postponed or cancelled if conditions are officially deemed dangerous or unsafe by fishery management (e.g., severe freezing, high-wind venue closure), in which case you will be offered a full refund or session transfer. We reserve the right to make reasonable adjustments to event schedules or swim allocations where necessary.
11. Photography & Media
We frequently capture high-quality photos and video coverage during our socials for website features, community galleries, and social media channels. If you prefer not to appear in public promotional media, simply let an organiser know before or at the start of the social — no awkwardness at all.
Part C: Merchandise & Physical Orders
12. Ordering & Product Availability
- All merchandise orders placed via bankboundsocials.co.uk are subject to acceptance and stock availability.
- We make every effort to display garment colours, prints, and sizing specifications accurately. However, slight variations may occur due to device screen settings or garment batch tolerances.
13. UK Delivery & Shipping
- Orders are processed and dispatched within standard working days (excluding bank holidays and weekends).
- Standard shipping transit times apply via our designated courier service (e.g., Royal Mail). Tracking details will be supplied via email once your order has been dispatched.
- If an incorrect delivery address is provided by the customer at checkout, Bank Bound is not liable for delayed or misdelivered items. Reshipment costs will be the responsibility of the customer.
14. 14-Day Returns & Exchanges (Apparel)
In accordance with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel or return physical merchandise purchases within 14 days of receiving your goods:
- Notice Period: You must notify us of your intent to return or exchange within 14 days of delivery. Once confirmed, you have an additional 14 days to return the item to us.
- Item Condition: To be eligible for a refund or size exchange, garments must be returned in their original condition: unworn, unwashed, free of bankside odours, animal hair, or smoke, with all tags intact and in original packaging.
- Return Postage: Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item delivered is faulty, damaged, or sent in error. We strongly recommend using a tracked postal service, as we cannot take responsibility for items lost in transit.
- Processing Refunds: Once inspected and approved, refunds will be credited back to your original payment method within 5–7 working days.
15. Damaged or Faulty Goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if your merchandise arrives damaged, defective, or with a printing fault:
- Contact us within 48 hours of receipt at Barry@bankboundsocials.co.uk with your order number and clear photos of the fault.
- Where an item is confirmed faulty, we will issue an immediate free replacement or a full refund, including original postage costs.
